Frozen Ocean Animal Rescue
Everything is possible in imagination, right? So lets say these animal got stuck and frozen in an ice age? Well..we need to save them! We had a lot of fun playing and discovering all the little animals (plastic toys). ๐
I used a big plastic bowl and poured a small amount of water in it, then added some of the plastic toys and put it in a freezer for a few hours, so all the water froze.
Repeat this step, layer by layer until the bowl is full and all the plastic toys are frozen in different layers of water.
Turn the frozen bowl upside down in a bucket and pour some warm water over it, so you could remove the plastic bowl from ice.
We used an empty bottle and filled it with warm water mixed with few drops of blue food coloring (to make it look like the color of the ocean). ๐
In addition, we added some table salt and sprinkled it often on ice. That makes the ice melt faster (by lowering its freezing point). You can put some towels around the bucket to protect the floor from getting wet and slippery.
My daughter poured and poured the colored water and finally rescued the little rhino from freezing.
Happy rhino! ๐
Slowly, she rescued all of the animals. We both had a lot of fun while playing with ice and plastic animals. We will definitely have to repeat it soon. ๐
