Fall Directed Drawings

These Fall themed directed drawings are a great way to incorporate creativity into the classroom. Kids usually love to draw, but they might need a little encouragement to gain confidence in their drawing abilities.

This activity will guide kids step-by-step in creating drawings of autumn/fall symbols.

Step-by-step directed drawing activities will help your kids with their fine motor skills, confidence and provide a means of self-expression.

I like to use directed drawing activities for kids like these as a foundations for their confidence in drawing and creating art in general.  Some kids might feel unsure if they can draw certain things, but with a little guidance they see they CAN draw things they perceived as difficult.

This way, they can try to practice drawing in their own style too which can ignite their creativity and imagination. The goal isn’t for them to always rely on directed drawing but can serve as a great staring point.

You can use these directed drawing worksheets as a rough guide and let them make their own versions of the drawings. You can encourage your kids to add their own individual features and create interesting backgrounds as well. Sometimes you just need an idea for the spark to go off.

This set include 12 directed drawing worksheets, featuring the following drawings: scarecrow, squirrel, leaf, pumpkin, acorn, apple, sunflower, corn, mouse, mushroom, turkey and fall tree.

This is a NO PREP activity. Simply print out the pages and and pencils or crayons. Have fun!

{This product can also be purchased as part of the Directed Drawing Seasons Bundle}
