This delicious Homemade Raw Vegan Chocolate is super quick and really easy to make. It’s free of unhealthy preservatives and other bad food additives.
Cacao powder is a great source of antioxidants and iron, coconut sugar and lucuma are natural sweeteners with low glycemic index, while coconut butter provides some of those good fatty acids.
- 100 g cocoa butter (or 50 g coconut oil / 50 g cocoa butter)
- 85 g coconut sugar
- 30 g 100% cacao powder
- 25 g oats
- 10 g lucuma powder
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
Add oats to blender and grind them to powder (you can do the same with coconut sugar, for a totally gritty-free texture of chocolate). In a separate bowl mix ground oats, coconut sugar, cacao powder, lucuma powder and ground cinnamon.
Melt the cocoa butter, then add all of the dry ingredients, mix it all together and pour the mixture in a silicone mold. You can also place a piece of baking paper in it before you pour the chocolate, for an even easier removal from the mold.
Place the mold in the fridge for a few hours, and when the liquid chocolate mixture hardens, break the chocolate in smaller pieces. Enjoy!
Keep in an air-tight container in a cool, dry place up to a week.
